Regional Certification Camp
May 16th and 17th is the date for our annual Regional Certification Camp, where members of the Leadership program can go to upgrade their collars and advance their skill levels. Our school is very fortunate this year to be sending Mr. Chris McNally and Mr. Walker Lunsford to Certification Camp to test for their Black Collars and become Certified Instructors! Wish them luck, and see you at camp!
Instructor CPR Seminar June 8th
The instructors and Leadership members of our school have been working hard to upgrade their collars and provide our students with the best instruction possible. To that end, they will be receiving training in CPR on Sunday, June 8th. If you are a member of the Leadership program, and missed the chance to get in on the CPR training (it filled up almost instantly; great initiative everyone!), fear not. As soon as we can, we will be holding another one.
Deadline to Register for Testing June 14th
Our next testing is coming up quickly, and the deadline to register for it is Saturday, June 14th. Make sure you have your registration in on time!
World Championships June 25th - 29th
The Super Bowl of Taekwondo is coming! World Championships, held down in Little Rock, Arkansas is a massive week-long event for everyone in Songahm Taekwondo. Compete against people your age and rank FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD and learn new skills in their wonderful and fast-paced seminars. Mr. Lunsford will be heading down to test for his 4th degree Black Belt, head down to cheer him on, or wish him the best of luck here at the school.
Black Belt Ceremony July 4th
What a better way to celebrate the 4th of July than to induct new Black Belts? We have several 1st and second degree Black Belts who are eligible to receive their new ranks. Who will they be? Come to our traditional Soap and Candle Ceremony and find out. See you there!
